[Aircraft Introduction] The B-2 is a stealth strategic bomber of the United States Air Force. It was developed by Northrop Grumman. It is an aircraft with a distinctive shape, known as a flying wing, lacking horizontal and vertical stabilizers. Its nickname is Spirit. It is extremely expensive, said to be worth the same as its weight in gold, and only 21 were produced. Each B-2 is given a personal name, "Spirit of ~" (mostly the name of a US state), which is inscribed on the outside of the main landing gear door.
