The third generation RX-7, type FD3S, was born in the fall of 1991, and with its 255-horsepower 13B-REW rotary engine, outstanding handling, and beautiful styling, it not only significantly evolved from its predecessor, but also attracted attention from all over the world. There were a number of minor changes until production ended in 2002, but the most significant change was in January 1999. In addition to reaching 280 horsepower, which was the upper limit for Japanese cars at the time, it also achieved significant evolution as a sports car, with features such as a new front bumper, rear wing, and changes to the suspension settings.
