Sprockets are consumable items. For general use, inspect your sprockets approximately every 1,000 km. Replace them if the teeth are tapered. Daily lubrication will significantly extend the life of your sprockets and chain.
Depending on the vehicle model, you may need a separate speed pulse conversion unit (see below) to correct speedometer errors that occur when changing sprocket tooth combinations or tire sizes.
