Schwalbe AV17 inner tubes are designed and manufactured to retain air pressure significantly longer than competitors. Each tube is individually inflated and inserted into a mold to ensure uniform wall thickness and excellent air retention, and then stored under pressure for 24 hours to test air retention. Each Schwalbe tube is individually inflated and inserted into a mold. This ensures uniform wall thickness and excellent air retention.

They retain pressure longer. We tested them against other tubes (including name brands, private label brands, and no-name products). The results were clear: Over 30 days, the other tubes lost approximately twice as much pressure as Schwalbe tubes. Possible reasons: low butyl content or low-quality butyl. Schwalbe refuses to compromise on its standards, even as butyl prices rise on the global market.
