A legendary performance that heralded the birth of the new BABYMETAL and the start of a new chapter
After a year-long hiatus from live performances since October 2021, this concert, the sequel to their comeback concert "BABYMETAL RETURNS -THE OTHER ONE-" held at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in January of this year, finally concluded BABYMETAL's other story and restoration plan, "THE OTHER ONE," and marked the beginning of a new BABYMETAL trio consisting of SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL. BABYMETAL was born. It signaled the start of a new chapter, moving to a new world known as "METALVERSE." Approximately 20,000 fans filled the air with excitement and anticipation over the two days, making this a milestone concert for BABYMETAL, marking the end of everything and the beginning of everything.
Starting with "BLACK NIGHT" on Saturday, April 1st, the DVD includes the live debut of five new songs ("MAYA," "Mirror Mirror," "Time Wave," "Believing," and "METALIZM") from the concept album "THE OTHER ONE," released in March. The DVD also features a performance of "KARATE," featuring a trio of new life forms separate from BABYMETAL, who also appeared at the Makuhari Messe concert in January, and the unraveling of the mystery surrounding THE OTHER ONE's restoration plan, which is now in its final stages. The final story movie at the end of the concert announces the eternal farewell to the BABYMETAL we've seen up until now, and the birth of a new BABYMETAL summoned by Fox God, the god of metal, is recorded in full detail. From "CLEAR NIGHT" on Sunday, April 2nd, the memorable first live performance of the new BABYMETAL, the DVD includes the spectacular opening scene of "METAL KINGDOM" with MOMOMETAL enthroned on the third throne that was left empty at the beginning of their January Makuhari Messe performance, and BABYMETAL clad in vibrantly shining battle suits, showing new faces and taking steps into new territory. This was the first live performance in a long time since their Tokyo Dome performance on September 19th, 2016. What the heck is this!? The songs "Like!", "Light and Darkness," "Monochrome," featuring a beautiful performance of the audience holding up smartphone lights, and the long-awaited original version of BABYMETAL's signature song, "BABYMETAL DEATH," are back in full force, with even more brutal heaviness. Experience the thrill of the live performance, which filled fans with hope and anticipation for the new BABYMETAL's journey, through immersive visual beauty.
The video product will be released commercially in three versions: a limited-edition Blu-ray with a vinyl-sized jacket, a regular Blu-ray, a regular DVD, and a vinyl record of the live audio. To capture the two different concepts of DAY-1 "BLACK NIGHT" and DAY-2 "CLEAR NIGHT," the Blu-ray and DVD will be two-disc sets, and the LIVE VINYL will be divided into two titles, containing all 28 tracks of this world-class, enthusiastic performance.
