Rainbow Henna is made from 100% natural plant-based ingredients and contains no additives, chemicals, preservatives, metal salts or metals. Henna has been used worldwide for over 9,000 years. Red henna comes from a small shrub called Lawsonia, native to the Middle East, Western Asia, and North Africa. These leaves were dried and crushed to make a fine powder. We also use the following plants: A variety of colors are created using groundhog, cassia obovata, marigold and chamomile flowers. We created hair color using only the highest quality plants from around the world. Rainbow Henna coats the outer surface of the hair, strand by strand. The color of henna is reflected throughout the hair, bringing out the hair's natural color. Henna's sealing action softens the cuticles and adds shine, making the hair shine when exposed to light. Regular use of henna will condition your hair and increase the volume of your hair. You will experience more noticeable results with each use.Rainbow Henna retains its color for approximately 4-6 weeks and is safe to use more frequently than this.
How to Use: How to Use: Rainbow Henna can be applied to wet or dry hair, but make sure your hair is clean and free of hair spray, gel, or conditioner. To shampoo first, towel dry your hair before applying. Place Rainbow Henna powder in a glass or plastic bowl. Please use enough powder to cover the area to be applied. *Do not use metal bowls or utensils*Bring 8 to 16 oz of liquid (water, coffee, tea) to a boil. Slowly pour in the liquid and mix thoroughly with a wooden or plastic spoon until it has a creamy yogurt-like consistency. If the mixture becomes too thick or thickens during application, you can add more liquid. You do not need to use all of the prepared liquid to achieve the correct texture. For gray hair, mix the powder with coffee or tea and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. *See below for detailed instructions to achieve the desired results. Please note.*Special secrets and hints to cover gray hair to suit your personal taste: Coffee or tea (English Breakfast, Darjeeling, Ceylon): Reduces red tones, deepens auburn tones, or helps with gray/white hair. For coverage, use coffee/tea instead of water. We use black coffee, not instant coffee. You can also use coffee substitutes. Can be used with black, red and brown henna shades.Black tea (rooibos, raspberry leaf, red zinger): Enhances red tones and makes them more vibrant. Can be used with all henna shades.Chamomile Tea: Highlights and enhances golden blonde highlights. Can be used with Blonde, Marigold Blonde and Strawberry Blonde henna shades.Dry Hair: Add 1 egg and 2 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil or 2 to 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt to the henna mixture. Choose only one of several alternatives. These natural ingredients not only help with conditioning, but can also aid in the application and rinsing process.Neutral Henna: Use as a conditioner to add weight and shine to your hair. Neutral or ‘clear’ henna is not tinted. Mix with boiling water to desired consistency and apply to hair in the same manner as the color shade. How to use: Although henna generally does not stain the scalp, wearing plastic or rubber gloves will prevent it from staining your hands. Henna is heat activated and is recommended to be used immediately after mixing.*Henna does not generally cause reactions in humans and does not contain any allergenic ingredients. However, if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to chemicals, we recommend doing a skin patch test on a section of hair before applying the entire product. Sections should be about 1 inch in size. Once the henna mixture has reached a safe temperature (warm or hot), apply it from the scalp to the hair from root to tip using a brush, applicator bottle, or your hands. Until the hair is thickly coated with the henna mixture. Continue application. Wear a cotton pad or tissue band around the hairline (optional). Wrap the hair with a shower cap, plastic bag, or plastic wrap to secure the henna to the hair. Wrap the towel around your head like a turban. Apply heat.Time For best results, use a salon-grade dome dryer, heat lamp, or heated cap.Time required: Black, Red, Sherry, Mahogany, Burgundy, Dark Brown, Medium Brown, Copper - Heat 45~ 60 minutes, unheated 60-75 minutes.
