The microprocessor pump controller is a device that constantly monitors the temperature in the fireplace water jacket and, basing on the set parameters, controls two outputs to which the central heating circulation pump and valve are normally connected. Temperature and hysteresis are set for each output. The parameters determine the switching point of the output state. The CH pump output is switched on after exceeding the temperature - the set temperature plus hysteresis.
Switching off follows the temperature decreasing below - the set temperature minus hysteresis - and an additional waiting time of 30 minutes. At the same moment, the controller goes into sleep mode. The second output is similar, but the switch-off takes place immediately after the temperature is exceeded - the set temperature minus hysteresis. In addition to the basic functions, the controller also informs about exceeding the alarm temperature, protects the installation against freezing through automatically switching on the central heating pump in the case of temperature drop below 4oC and automatic leaving the sleep mode when detecting an increase in the liquid temperature in the system.

Control of an oil or gas furnace in the system with a fireplace takes place automatically. If we start to heat with a fireplace, automatic control from the oil or gas furnace will increase the temperature in the house, and thus the oil or gas furnace does not switch on until we stop heating using the fireplace. At night, when the wood in the fireplace ends and the temperature starts to drop, the oil or gas furnace automatically switches on. Therefore, there is no need to connect the fireplace controller and the control of an oil or gas furnace.
