This title is a new, high-quality reimagining of the classic RPG "Romancing SaGa" series, released on the Super Famicom and other platforms. It features a free scenario system that allows players to freely enjoy their own adventure and create their own story without being restricted or forced to act, and the world unfolds regardless of the protagonist's intentions. However, the protagonist's actions cause new phenomena in the world, so their actions can result in a different story than others, or a different outcome awaits them on a second playthrough... This is the charm of "Romancing SaGa."

Based on the setting of the previous game, a significant addition to the story has been made, reborn as a rich, all-new game. The character designs and systems have also been completely revamped, and the game features a wealth of event scenes. In a world rendered in beautiful 3D graphics, every character speaks to the protagonist with vivid, full voice acting. Movies incorporated throughout the game use sketch-motion technology, making the illustrations appear to come to life, contributing to the creation of a new, more modern "Romancing SaGa" world.

[Story] Mardias, a world created by the creator god Marda. This land was once the scene of a battle between the Three Evil Gods, the incarnations of evil, and the King of the Gods.

At the end of a long battle, the evil gods were sealed away in exchange for the life of a hero and the power of the ten jewels known as "Destiny Stones" created by the king.

1,000 years have passed since then... The "Destiny Stones" have been scattered across the world, and the power of the evil gods has once again been revived.

As if manipulated by fate, the eight protagonists each set out on a journey. What kind of story will they weave in the vast land of Mardias... It's up to you, the player. PS2
