KATO N Gauge ED79 Pantograph Electric Locomotive Single-Arm 3076-3

This is a commercial version of the locomotive belonging to the JR Hokkaido Hakodate Transport Office Seikan Branch (formerly Goryokaku Locomotive Depot). It reproduces the style in which the regular pantograph on the second end (towards Hakodate) was replaced with a single-arm pantograph from 2010. The compact exterior design continues the legacy of the ED75. The rooftop equipment, a feature of AC electric locomotives, is realistically reproduced with metal wire and green insulators. It was used to pull the sleeper express "Hokutosei," "Twilight Express," "Cassiopea," and the sleeper express "Hamanasu." You can enjoy the appearance of the ED79 in its later years, when the regular pantograph was changed from the original under-frame cross type to a single-arm pantograph.
