Introduction
Resurrected: Bob Marley & The Wailers' Miraculous Treasured Recordings Series 2
A recording of the "Trenchtown Experience" live performance at a small black club in Chicago, recorded during the band's 1975 US tour shortly after the release of their classic album "Natty Dread," has been discovered.
Different from the later ritualized Rasta-proselytizing concerts, this live performance is permeated with the black energy of the reggae boom era.
Marley's vocals are also filled with a mystical allure. The sound quality is excellent, with a total of eight songs (55 minutes).
The lineup includes Bob Marley (vocals/guitar), Al Anderson (guitar), Tyrone Downey (keyboards/drums), Sheeco Peterson (tambourine), Familyman Barrett (bass), Carlton Barrett (drums), and Rita Marley & Judy Mowatt (backing vocals).
The sound quality is simply outstanding.
