Review

Sunrise's first original work, created by Yoshiyuki Tomino of "Mobile Suit Gundam," has finally been released on DVD. The protagonist, a young boy, is voiced by Nobuyo Oyama ("Doraemon"), and the enemy boss is named Butcher, a silly character who plays pachinko and imitates Elvis Presley. "Invincible Super Man Zambot 3" can be summed up in one word: "spectacular." The protagonist's childhood friend is turned into a human bomb and dies in an explosion. Those around him blame the protagonist's family for the Earth's ongoing attack. By the end of the film, the main characters die one after another, and the enemy's reason for attacking Earth is truly "spectacular." It's an anime from 26 years ago, but incredibly deep!
