This leather is made from cow kip tanned with vegetable tannins and processed at a factory in Tokyo. After the surface of the leather is foiled, it is placed in a large drum called a drum with water and rotated to shrink the leather and create a shrink on the surface. Foil processing may not seem like leather, but this leather has been tanned and shrunk to achieve a leather-like finish.
