Raat Ka Reporter Raat Ka Reporter Is Perhaps the First Hindi

Raat Ka Reporter is perhaps the first Hindi novel written about the Emergency, and it also marks a new turn in Nirmal ji's fiction.

Rishi, the novel's protagonist, appears as a journalist whose inner crisis stems from his external social reality...

The circumstances have made him unwell and suspicious.

Darkness reigns all around him, and his inner world is also engulfed by it.

As he attempts to examine the darkness surrounding him, he himself is tested.

In essence, this is a work of fiction that highlights the contemporary pressures on an intellectual's consciousness and shows them manifesting in his behavior.

Whether the environment we encounter during this journey is outside our experience or we are outside it, it is not beyond the fundamental questions of freedom in our world.
