It can be used as an iron kettle (for boiling water), a sake bottle (for warming sake), or a teapot. The inside is finished with a black baking finish. This special baking finish allows oxygen to pass through the iron surface, so boiled water contains iron. The handle can be folded down, making it convenient for storage. It is gas-fired.
