Product introduction
The Japan Maritime Force's new submarine “Soryu” is the first domestically produced submarine equipped with an AIP (non-atmospheric dependent propulsion) system.
In order to improve stealth, the hull and sail are covered with sound-absorbing tiles, and an X rudder with high underwater mobility and little risk of damage is used as the rudder.
Also, a rectifier fillet is attached to the front of the sail, etc., so it has a different appearance from existing ships.
Of the 12 “Soryu” type ships, the 11th ship “Ouryu” and the 12th ship “Toryu” are equipped with lithium-ion batteries in place of AIP systems and lead-acid batteries, and the ability to move underwater even further is being improved.
