[About the Leather Material] Tochigi Leather "Buono Aniline": A manufacturing method that brings out the natural texture of the leather, increasing in color and luster with use. "Full vegetable tanned leather" literally refers to leather tanned with tannins made from natural plant-based ingredients. The tannins used are derived from the resin of the bark of acacia trees, specifically mimosa, without the use of any harmful substances. In the tanning process, each hide is soaked in a pit filled with tannins for a full 20 days. After this long tanning process, the leather is dyed to add color. Because this method preserves the natural texture of the leather, a characteristic of full-vegetable tanned leather is that the oils in the leather seep out as it is used. The color and luster increase, resulting in leather that ages beautifully.
