[Ushio and Tora Story] Ushio Aotsuki, a middle school student, lives alone with his father, who is the head priest of a temple. One day, he encounters something incredible in the basement of the storehouse at his home. It was a great yokai, feared by the people as a vicious monster long ago, sealed away for 500 years by the "Beast Spear"! Ushio pulls out the spear and is almost devoured by the yokai, but at the same time, the power of the "Beast Spear," which has awakened from its slumber, transforms him, and he quickly defeats the other yokai that swarmed the yokai. The great yokai, fearing the power of the spear, reluctantly cooperates, and is named "Tora" by Ushio, and they begin to act together.

Thus, the boy who inherited the "Beast Spear" and the great yokai "Ushitora," who plots to devour him one day, were born as a duo. And as they defeat the attacking yokai one after another, they become embroiled in a grand battle for the fate of the world...
