Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) size: Width 6.8 x Depth 5.8 x Height 8.8 cm [Gift Box Specifications: Comes in a special paper box] Introduction to Kutani Ware Techniques: Mori (Intricate Relief) This piece features the special technique "Mori" used in Kutani ware figurines. "Mori" is applied using a type of paint called Deco Mori paint and a unique tool called "Itchin." The Deco Mori paint has such a textured feel that it almost feels like a massage when you touch it! Furthermore, "Mori" requires advanced skills and is a very time-consuming technique, and there are few artisans who can do it, so in recent years the rarity of the works themselves has increased.

Kutani ware is highly regarded worldwide as one of Japan's three major types of colored porcelain and as a representative traditional craft of Japan, "Japan Kutani."
