3. Contraindications and Prohibitions
* Do not self-diagnose or treat based on temperature readings. [This may worsen symptoms.]

* Do not measure body temperature on any part of the body other than the forehead.
* Replace the battery when the " " mark is displayed.
* Wait at least 30 minutes after exercise or bathing before taking your temperature.
* If there is a temperature difference between the storage location and the measurement location, leave the device in the measurement location for at least 30 minutes before measuring.
* If your forehead is cold, wait until it warms up before measuring.
* Note that the device may not display the correct temperature in the following cases:
✓ Do not measure the temperature of the forehead if the patient has an injury. Since areas of scar tissue or tissue damaged by skin disease sense body temperature, do not measure areas of scar tissue or tissue damaged by skin disease.
✓ Measurements taken in a drafty area, such as near an air conditioner.
✓ Measurements taken when direct sunlight is hitting the forehead.
✓ Measurements taken when the forehead is wet from swimming, bathing, showering, or sweat.
✓ Measurements taken immediately after exercise.
✓ Measurements taken when the device was in a different temperature environment than the measurement location immediately before measurement.
✓ Measurements taken when the device was in a different temperature environment than the measurement location immediately before measurement.
✓ Measurements taken when there are objects interfering with the measurement, such as hair or foundation, between the forehead and the sensor.
✓ Measurements taken when other body parts, such as hands, are near the measurement area (forehead).
