A top-quality product that removes the sting of fatigue and bestows gentle feelings, carefully blended with sandalwood and Chinese herbal medicine. A beautifully fragrant incense made using carefully selected sweet tea, which is poured over the infant Buddha on April 8th to celebrate the birth of Buddha. Incense is not a luxury item, but an offering, and it is customary in Shinto and Buddhist belief that one should first offer a beautiful object to Buddha, one's favorite food, and then receive the offering. It is said that during Obon, when ancestors who have transformed from their ego into Buddhas return, one should be beautifully made up (performing a celebratory dance favored by Shinto priests) and offer a feast to the Buddhas as part of the Obon festivities, thus fulfilling the Buddhas' wishes for a meal. This is said to bring the Buddhas' blessings to the deceased and the family, and to bring peace to the world. This opens the eyes of attentiveness, consideration, and thoughtfulness, and builds a mountain of moral tradition, and is especially important for elders.
This popular sweet tea incense is said to fulfill the Buddha's wish for a feast, maintaining order that respects the ancestors, becoming an act of selflessness and altruism, and allowing surviving descendants to direct good deeds toward their ancestors, thus granting them merit. Extending the measure of compassion in your treatment of ancestors returning as Buddhas, and offering the Buddha's favorite sweet tea incense during the Obon festival, it is a grand hospitality that welcomes guests with dignity and sincerity. Showing attentiveness, consideration, and thoughtfulness in your offering will bring unparalleled merit, refining and elevating your character. It fulfills the Buddha's wish for a feast.
