SF canister filters were created with the best possible filtration in mind, thanks to their large volume. At the same time, the filter's design allows it to be placed outside the tank, on the edge of the glass, thus saving space in the aquarium, in a cabinet, or under the aquarium.
These filter features significantly outperform internal, cascade, and standard external filters. They provide better filtration than internal and cascade filters, are easier to use, and do not take up as much space as standard external filters.
The filter has two baskets for loose filter media, sponges of various porosity, and non-woven fabric. Baskets significantly simplify filter maintenance, media replacement, and regeneration.
Media baskets provide adequate space for any filter media, such as activated carbon, NEO MEDIA, or Organ-Ex polymers. Chemical and polymer media should be selected according to the aquarium's needs.
Water is inlet to the filter via an adjustable-length tube, using three segments. This allows the filter to draw in impurities from the bottom, which are a common cause of silting and poor water quality.
Furthermore, the inlet is accessed via a skimmer, a surface water inlet. This cleans the water surface of grease and impurities. The intensity of this inlet is adjustable. For tube lengths, see the technical data at the end of the description.
The outlet has two interchangeable tips. The flattened outlet tip (similar to a loc-line) perfectly induces appropriate water movement and has a ball joint allowing you to direct the stream in any direction.
It is also equipped with an aeration hose that provides a large amount of oxygen for fish. The rain shower outlet is useful for aerating the water and creating moderate water movement, which is unnecessary in small aquariums.
The filter has a smooth, stepless, double flow adjustment, and therefore efficiency. The adjustment allows the filter to be adapted to aquariums from 30 to 115 liters. Valves are located on the filter inlet and outlet.
The outlet and inlet tubes can be directed in any direction on a horizontal plane within a 360-degree angle. This allows the outlet and inlet to be placed anywhere in the aquarium.
The filter is placed on the edge of the tank using special hangers. These holders allow for adjustment to glass thicknesses ranging from 4mm to 20mm. A special foot holds the filter vertically. Made of flexible and soft rubber, it perfectly dampens vibrations caused by the impeller and water flow, making the filter inaudible.
