This analog "2100" series full-metal chronograph inherits the concept of the original G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C. While the case, bezel, and band are made of stainless steel, it also retains the octagonal bezel shape and dimpled band design from the DW-5000C, which debuted in 1983. A fine resin buffer between the bezel and case ensures shock resistance even with a metal exterior. The bezel is crafted into a three-dimensional shape through time-consuming forging, cutting, and polishing processes, with a beautiful finish achieved by a circular hairline on the top and a mirror-polished bevel. The indices and subdial ring are delicately crafted using micro-machining technology and vapor deposition for a high-quality finish. The screw-lock crown shares the same octagonal shape as the bezel, contributing to a compact design while maintaining shock resistance. High-density implementation technology allows for a slim, highly functional module, achieving a slim profile. Comfort is also a key consideration. It connects to a dedicated app via Bluetooth® communication to obtain time information and keep accurate time. It also comes with practical features such as Tough Solar and a high-brightness LED light.
